From the NHRA Site:
The 2012 NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series will again feature 10 races, beginning the season with the 43rd annual Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals, at Gainesville Raceway, March 8-11. From there, the series will make the first of two visits to zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, April 13-15, as part of the VisitMyrtleBeach.com NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. The 250-mph machines will compete in the traditional two-wide configuration.
Heading into the final race of the 2011 season, Khalid Balooshi, driver of the SpeedTech ‘69 Camaro, has a 55-point lead over Danny Rowe. Among the many highlights of the season was the first all-female final in the series, pitting Melanie Troxel and Leah Pruett, both driving cars out of the R2B2 Racing team owned by Roger Burgess, at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals in Charlotte. Pruett won the race, her first in the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. The R2B2 Racing team also holds both ends of the national record in the Pro Mod category, set by Troxel in Englishtown with a pass of 5.772 seconds at 258.71 mph
