Alright you go out to the track today and during regular event’s hardly anyone shows up as far as fans go. Some teams break down and it’s on the trailer headed home, so how the hell are you going to build a Rod yourself?
From the builder:
This Nova was built with a spare engine from my Camaro, Hedman headers, a cable style throttle pedal from a Camaro, B&M Unimatic Shiftier from eBay. Bassett wheels from Summit, used Goodyear tires 185/60/15 from a local shop, scratch n dent aluminum radiator from Speedway. Flowmaster muffs with pipes from an old truck. Affordable paint kit from TCP. V8 springs from eBay. Monroe shocks lots of sweat elbow grease and never dull… paint booth, cost was under 100$ PVC pipe, glue, plastic drop cloths, spray adhesive, cardboard boxes and Wal-Mart box fans and don’t forget the duct tape!
With some ingenuity a garage, spare parts, tools and your buddies you can build a nice machine likes this Nova II on a low-budget. The only question is, how bad do you want it?
