What happens when too much just isn’t enough? You become an addict, that’s what! Will someone call Betty Ford Clinic because Nissan is going through performance withdrawal, they just binged on Nismo.
A factory tuned super-car, the GT-R Nismo has been developed with input from racing. Featuring a modified bodykit for improved aerodynamics and upgraded suspension and power-train, the GT-R Nismo is said to feel equally at home on the track and on the street. 592hp (600PS) and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) of torque. These upgrades include new high-flow, large diameter turbochargers from GT3 racing that improve the engine’s breathing, as well as optimized individual ignition timing control for each cylinder and upgraded fuel pump that improve combustion.
Nismo designs and manufactures a range of aftermarket performance parts for Nissan cars including Aerodynamics parts such as spoilers and diffusers, alloy wheels, engine and suspension parts.
Most Datsun, Nissan, and Infiniti branded cars have performance parts available from Nismo, either in production or as old stock. For example, Nismo sells parts such as unground cam billets, performance cams, pistons, etc. for the KA24E engine, which was used in the Nissan small pickup truck for several years and also used for the 1989 and 1990 model years of 240SX, a popular car among Import scene enthusiasts (especially Drifters) in North America. The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available in Japan in late February 2014, with U.S. and Europe deliveries to follow later in 2014.
